BUTTER PECAN ICECREAM

INGREDIENTS

 PREP IN 15M READY IN 4HRS

2 C HEAVY CREAM

1-1/2 C TOASTED PECANS

1 C SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK

1 TSP MAPLE EXTRACT

3TBS MELTED BUTTER

DIRECTION

1.   Whisk heavy cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form

2.   In another bowl combine sweetened milk, maple extract, melted butter and pecans

3.   Fold in the heavy whipped cream into the milk mixture

4.   Place in a loaf pan a d refrigerate for 4 hrs

Comparisons between Romeo/Juliet and Westside story

Read the short and complete the activity 

Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona in about 1594. In the two tragedies the major conflict is two opposing families, or gangs, who do not agree of the relationship of their child. This conflict was resolved in a very tragic manner. Romeo and Juliet both die.  In West Side Story takes place in New York City in 1957. Tony is the modern character of Romeo and Maria is the modern character of Juliet. Tony is killed and Maria lives. In Romeo and Juliet the Montague's and the Capulet's houses are rich.  In West Side Story the Sharks and Jets live in an apartment which shows that the Sharks are not wealthy.  During arguments among the Capulets and the Montagues swords were used, however, guns were used in West Side Story to settle the score.

  Ingredients

1 C milk

1 (14 ounce) can cream of coconut

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut

Directions

1. Combine the milk, cream of coconut and flaked coconut in the food processor or blender, and mix thoroughly. Stir in heavy cream.
2. Pour into the container of an ice cream maker, and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
