CEC services also include SECON, a division that conducts comprehensive drug testing and screening services worldwide.

CEC is seeking a professional in the role of Food Services Worker at Talbot Hall, located in Kearny, NJ.  Talbot Hall is a 500 bed adult male assessment and treatment center that contracts with the New Jersey Department of Corrections.





In this position you will be responsible for the timely preparation of all menu items for the inmate/resident population, organizing inmate labor in accordance with the company and the institution’s policies and monitoring detainee behavior in the when working in the kitchen.

Principle responsibilities include:

·         Assist in the planning of menus

·         Prepare bulk quantities of food, maintain portion control and arrange food in an appetizing manner

·         Assist in maintaining sanitary conditions and compliance with applicable health department rules and regulations including certificates for food handlers

·         Assist with all inventory

·         Confirm that food delivery invoices are accurate

 High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment desired.

Position requires constant standing and walking; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires good visual and auditory acuity for monitoring safety and cleanliness of food services area. 

 

Experience working with a resident/inmate population a plus.
